The Mayor of London has recently announced that 24 businesses and community groups in the capital will benefit from the new £20m London Regeneration Fund (LRF) which aims to re-energise the capital’s places of work and high streets.
Regeneris is delighted to have supported a number of the successful applicants in project development and bid writing. These include:
- Loughborough Junction (Lambeth): awarded £1.6m to develop a workspace project that includes studio space, makerspace, co-working offices and shared workshops/food production, and horticultural research.
- Bow Packing Works (Tower Hamlets): awarded £400k to refurbish the derelict industrial building for co-working space, artist studios, workshops, event space and a bar/restaurant.
- South Kilburn Enterprise Hub (Brent): awarded £1.8m for the construction, establishment and long term management of an innovative workspace/ community scheme aimed at serving both the local community and businesses. The London Regeneration Fund is the latest in a series of rounds of investment into London’s town centres, high streets and places of work by the Mayor and the GLA. Previous funding rounds (including the Outer London Fund, the Mayor’s Regeneration Fund and the High Street Fund) have seen investment in a broad range of projects and interventions across London’s 32 Boroughs. The most significant of these projects are illustrated in the map below.
- In addition, in recent months Regeneris has also supported a number of the other successful bidders in developing their project ideas, including the Blackhorse Lane Enterprise Zone (£1.1m LRF) and the Meridian Water Workspace project (£1.35m LRF).
