Patrick Ransom

Education: Education: MA Geography (Hons), University of Cambridge; MSc Sustainable Development, Royal Holloway; PgDip Leadership and Management, University of Birmingham.

Areas of Expertise: Place making, economic strategy, workspaces/enterprise spaces, socio-economic evaluation, local government and project management.

Patrick joined Regeneris as a Consultant in 2017 from Westminster City Council where he worked in their Place Making team. He was responsible for leading the economic development and regeneration work in one of their priority places and was involved in a variety of projects and programmes.

Patrick has a broad range of experience and has been involved in a number of projects for Regeneris. This includes place making and investment strategies, socio-economic studies, demand studies, economic appraisals and project management.

Most recently, Patrick has been on secondment at the London Borough of Lambeth where he has led a project to deliver a new 50,000 sq. ft. meanwhile workspace for the creative and digital industries in Brixton. He has undertaken soft market testing, demand analysis, an economic impact assessment, a funding application for the GLA’s Good Growth Fund, Cabinet Member Decision Reports, an operator procurement process, financial appraisals and the development of a monitoring and evaluation strategy. This, alongside his work at Westminster City Council, has helped him develop a deep understanding of the workspace and enterprise space market and its key success factors.

Alongside this, Patrick has led a number of projects for Regeneris including an Investment and Growth Strategy for Streatham, an economic assessment of the sport and leisure sector in Suffolk, an economic impact assessment of a proposed meanwhile workspace project in Enfield and a demand analysis for a new technology park in Hethel for Norfolk County Council.

In his spare time, Patrick enjoys running, exploring new places and finding good restaurants.
