Digital Deadlines Met

Our team has this week just helped Cheshire & Warrington submit its ERDF application for a further wave of digital investment. The £11m project should help address the remaining superfast not-spots left over from earlier rounds of BDUK-led investment. We have also helped partners develop complementary strands of activity on vouchers to help SMEs upgrade their broadband connections and a business support service to advise them on getting the most out of their technology.

Alongside that, our digital team has also been busy helping the West Yorkshire Combined Authority prepare its map of current broadband coverage. This is an essential requirement of the State aid obligations and market testing which underpins OJEU compliant investments. Our analysis will be used in the coming months to engage with potential operators and secure a further round of broadband investment across the districts of Leeds, Bradford, Kirklees, Calderdale, Wakefield and York.
