When to consider

When to consider:

  • When people experience difficulty initiating movement
  • When people experience problems controlling movements
  • When people experience pain and discomfort trying to move the limb

When not to use Mirror visual feedback:

  • If a person can’t believe the illusion despite trying to get it right for sometime
  • If practice is causing greater distress
  • If a patient has tattoos, scars or a deformity on their unaffected limb they may not believe the illusion
